Crochet Cat Bag - Maya

I found this really cute pattern in one of my Japanese crochet books and I thought it would be a nice little bag for Kelsey (my daughter) to carry her mobile phone, lip gloss, hair ties and other small stuff. I've lined it and put in a zipper to keep things from falling out. I actually wouldn't mind using it myself!

I have been knitting and crocheting for a few years now, but have always knitted only clothes. I've just discovered knitted toys lately and I must say its more fun!

I am working on a new knitted toy pattern I purchased from Debi Birkin's Etsy shop and it should be ready soon. I also can't wait to start on a free cupcake knitting pattern I found on the internet - a good way to put my left over yarns to good use!

Crochet Toy

This is my first crochet toy. Meet Elle, she is an elephant (in case you wonder :)). She enjoys reading and be around all things beautiful and kawaii - like me.

Kyle's String Recital 2009

Kyle has been learning violin since the beginning of 2009. He had his first recital last week and we are all so proud of his performance and effort. He performed with five other kids and played the following pieces: Cowboy Chorus, Ringing Bells, Hoe Down. Frere Jacques and Tarantelle. I am amazed at how he remembered the sequence of the pieces and managed to commit all the notes to memory. It is even more amazing that I could hear his instrument amongst the others' and I must say the sound produced was very pleasing, unlike those screechy, scratchy noises he produced with his violin when he just started learning. Well done Kyle! We are so proud of you.
